Minipreço is a Portuguese discount supermarket chain that opened its first stores in 1979 under the name Companhia Nacional de Descontos. With 443 outlets it is one of the largest grocery chains in the country by number of shops. It trades in several formats: the standard Minipreço, the larger suburban Minipreço Family and the smaller Minipreço Express in urban locations. It belonged for many years to the Spanish group DIA and now forms part of Auchan Portugal.
