Monoprix is a French retail chain with its head office in Clichy, just outside Paris. The first store opened in Rouen in 1932, and the format has changed little since: town centre shops that combine food retailing with clothing, beauty products and homeware. It is best known for staying in the middle of French towns rather than moving to the outskirts. The chain has been part of the Casino group since 2013 and also runs the smaller Monop' stores and the organic chain Naturalia.
