NOS is a Portuguese telecommunications and media group. It began as PT Multimédia, a spin-off from Portugal Telecom, was renamed ZON Multimédia and took its current name after merging with Optimus Telecomunicações. The company provides cable and fibre television, broadband internet, fixed line and mobile telephony, and it also broadcasts television channels. Alongside the network business, NOS distributes films and operates cinemas in Portugal.
