Regal Cinemas, formally Regal Entertainment Group, is an American cinema chain that runs the second largest theatre circuit in the United States, with 5,720 screens in 420 cinemas as of the end of 2024. It was founded on 10 August 1989 and is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. The group works under three main brands: Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres and United Artists Theatres. Its subsidiaries have also included Cinebarre, Warren Theatres, Great Escape Theatres and Hollywood Theatres. It is owned by the British company Cineworld.
