Royal Charleroi SC is a Belgian football club from Charleroi in Hainaut, founded on 1 January 1904. It plays at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi, a ground of about 15,000 places, and competes in the Belgian Pro League. The club has never won the championship and its best finish is second, in 1969. It plays in black and white and is nicknamed Les Zèbres, the Zebras. Charleroi is the largest city in Wallonia and the heart of the old industrial basin.
