Screwfix is a British retailer of trade tools, hardware and building products, founded in Yeovil in 1979 as the Woodscrew Supply Company. It sells screws and fixings, power and hand tools, electrical and lighting goods, plumbing and heating parts, kitchens, bathrooms and workwear. Its branches work as trade counters where orders placed online, by phone or from the catalogue are collected. Since 1999 it has belonged to Kingfisher plc, which also owns B&Q.
