Stop & Shop, registered as The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC, is an American supermarket chain in the northeastern United States. It goes back to a grocery store in Somerville, Massachusetts, and now trades from several hundred stores in New England, New York and New Jersey. The shops sell groceries, fresh produce, meat and fish, and many of them also have a pharmacy. The chain is part of the Dutch and Belgian group Ahold Delhaize.
