SV Austria Salzburg is an Austrian football club from Salzburg, formed in 2005 by supporters of the original Austria Salzburg after Red Bull bought that club and changed its name and colours. It plays at the Max Aicher Stadion, a ground of 1,566 places, and competes in the lower divisions. It plays in violet and white, the colours the old club wore. It is owned by its members and is one of Europe's better known supporter-founded clubs.
