FC Universitatea Cluj is a Romanian football club from Cluj-Napoca, founded on 23 November 1919 as the students' sports society of the university. It plays at the Cluj Arena, a ground of 30,201 places, and competes in Liga I. The club won the Romanian Cup in 1965 and has otherwise spent its history moving between the divisions. It plays in black and white and is known as U Cluj. Its rivalry with CFR Cluj divides the city, and its ownership includes the municipality and the university.
