Watford FC is an English club from Watford in Hertfordshire, founded in 1881. It plays at Vicarage Road, a ground of about 22,200 places, and competes in the Championship. Under Graham Taylor and the chairmanship of Elton John the club rose from the fourth division to finish runner-up in the First Division in 1983, and it reached the FA Cup final in 1984 and 2019. It plays in yellow and black and is nicknamed the Hornets.
