La Place is a Dutch restaurant chain founded in 1987. It works as a self service format, with guests walking past counters where dishes, sandwiches, juices and coffee are prepared in front of them. The chain has about 100 restaurants in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Indonesia and the United States, often in shopping streets, in department stores and along motorways. It belongs to the supermarket group Jumbo, which took it over from the bankrupt department store chain V&D.
