Meijer is an American chain of hypermarkets, founded in Greenville, Michigan in 1934 by Hendrik Meijer, a Dutch immigrant, and still wholly owned by the Meijer family. The company is run from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is often credited with pioneering the supercentre format, which puts a full grocery store and general merchandise under one roof. In 2023 it had 268 stores and 235 fuel stations across Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
