Paradores de Turismo de España, branded as Paradores, is a Spanish state owned chain of luxury hotels, usually housed in historic buildings or set in areas of natural beauty. The first parador opened on 9 October 1928 in Navarredonda de Gredos in the province of Ávila. As of 2026 it runs ninety nine hotels in Spain and one in Portugal, and each one has a restaurant serving the regional cooking of its area. The chain was created both to bring tourism to regions that lacked accommodation and to put unused historic buildings to use.
