Petit Bateau is a French clothing brand best known for children's wear and underwear. It was founded in 1920 in Troyes in the Aube, and its origins go back to a knitwear business started there in 1893. During the 2000s it added an adult collection and grew from a purely children's label into a brand for all ages. The company joined the Rocher group in 1988 and is now owned by Regent L.P. It employs nearly 4,000 people, about 1,100 of them in the Aube.
