FK Železiarne Podbrezová is a Slovak football club from the village of Podbrezová in the Upper Hron valley, founded in 1920. It plays at the ZELPO Aréna, a ground of 4,061 places, and competes in the Slovak league. The club is owned and backed by the local steel tube works, whose name it carries, and reached the top division in 2014. It plays in green and white and is nicknamed Železiari, the Ironworkers. With around four thousand inhabitants it is one of the smallest places in European professional football.
