SC Telstar is a Dutch football club from IJmuiden in North Holland, founded on 17 July 1963 out of a merger of two clubs from the steel and fishing town. It plays at the BUKO Stadion, a ground of about 6,000 places, and competes in the Eredivisie after promotion in 2025, its first season in the top flight since 1978. It plays in all white and is nicknamed De Witte Leeuwen, the White Lions. It is named after the Telstar communications satellite of the year it was founded.
