Dan Murphy's is an Australian liquor retailer that runs 283 stores across the country, selling wine, beer and spirits in large format shops. It was founded in 1952 by the winemaker Daniel Francis Murphy, whose name the chain still carries. It is owned by Endeavour Group, which also runs the BWS liquor shops and a large pub and hotel business. Its main competitors are the Coles Group liquor brands First Choice Liquor, Vintage Cellars and Liquorland.
