Iceland is a British supermarket chain that specialises in frozen food. It was founded in Oswestry, England, in November 1970 and now trades across the United Kingdom and in Ireland. Alongside the high street shops the company runs The Food Warehouse, a larger format for retail parks. Its head office is in Deeside, Wales, and its own label frozen ranges, from vegetables and ready meals to desserts, are the core of the business.
