Maisons du Monde is a French furniture and home decoration retailer, founded in Brest in 1996 by Xavier Marie. It sells furniture, decorative objects, tableware, lighting and sofas, with decoration accounting for roughly 58 percent of sales and furniture for the rest. As of 2023 the group ran 349 stores in Europe, of which 212 in France, and employed more than 5,500 people. About half of its sales are made online, and sales outside France account for 45 percent of the total.
