Virgin Active is a chain of health clubs founded in 1999 as part of the Virgin Group. It runs around 230 clubs, with its largest presence in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Italy and further sites in Australia, Singapore and Thailand. Its clubs sit at the premium end of the market and combine gym floors with pools, racquet courts, group exercise studios and spa facilities.
