Visana is a Swiss insurance company based in Bern and specialising in health and accident cover. It insures around 848,000 private customers as well as 16,500 companies, public bodies and associations, which makes it one of the larger health insurers in the country. Alongside the compulsory basic health insurance it sells supplementary policies. In 2022 the Visana Group collected 3.6 billion Swiss francs in premiums and employed 1,450 people.
