FC Aarau is a Swiss football club from Aarau in the canton of Aargau, founded in 1902. It plays at the Stadion Brügglifeld, a ground of about 9,200 places, and competes in the Challenge League, the Swiss second tier, after relegation from the Super League. The club won the Swiss championship three times, in 1912, 1914 and 1993, and the Swiss Cup once, in 1985. It plays in black and white and is nicknamed Die Adler, the Eagles. A new stadium in the Torfeld Süd district has been in planning for years to replace the Brügglifeld.
