Servette FC is a Swiss football club from Geneva, whose sports club was founded in 1890 and whose football section dates from 17 January 1900. It plays at the Stade de Genève, a ground of 30,084 places, and competes in the Super League. Servette has won seventeen Swiss championships and seven cups, though the last title dates from 1999, and it went bankrupt in 2005 before rebuilding. It plays in claret and is nicknamed Les Grenat. It is the leading club of French-speaking Switzerland.
