Univé is a Dutch cooperative insurance company with offices in Assen and Zwolle. It grew out of local mutual societies in the countryside and still works through a network of regional cooperatives with their own shops and advisers around the country. It sells general cover such as home, contents, car and liability insurance. Univé presents itself as a nonprofit insurer and says that this is what allows it to keep its products cheaper.
