Costa Coffee is a British coffeehouse chain with its head office in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire. It was founded in London in 1971 by the brothers Bruno and Sergio Costa as a wholesale business roasting coffee for caterers and Italian coffee shops. Whitbread bought the company in 1995 and sold it to The Coca-Cola Company in January 2019 in a deal worth 4.9 billion dollars. The chain has grown to more than 4,000 stores in over 30 countries, alongside thousands of Costa Express vending points.
