The British business trades from Shirebrook in Derbyshire, while the Spanish arm, Game Stores Iberia, is run from Pozuelo de Alarcón near Madrid. The chain went into administration in 2012 and was rescued by an investment firm before Frasers Group, then trading as Sports Direct, took it over in 2019. Many British branches have since moved inside Frasers and Sports Direct stores as concessions.
