Globus Holding GmbH & Co. KG, trading as Globus, is a German retail company based in Sankt Wendel in the Saarland. The business traces its roots to 1828 and opened its first hypermarket in 1966. It runs 77 hypermarkets in Germany and the Czech Republic, called Globus Markthallen and Globus Hypermarkets, along with 90 do it yourself stores in Germany and Luxembourg under the Globus Baumarkt name. The group employed about 47,000 people in June 2024 and is still in family hands.
