Grasshopper Club Zürich is a Swiss sports club from Zurich, founded on 1 September 1886 by an English student and best known for its football team. It plays at the Letzigrund, a ground of 26,104 places shared with FC Zürich, and competes in the Super League. With 27 championships and a record number of Swiss Cups, it is the most decorated club in the country, though its recent years have been difficult, including a relegation in 2019. It plays in blue and white and is known simply as GC.
