Hemköp is one of the largest supermarket chains in Sweden. It was founded in Borlänge and by 2024 had around 200 stores, ranging from full supermarkets to convenience shops and small hypermarkets. The chain is part of the Axfood group, which also owns the Swedish grocery chains CityGross, Willy's, Tempo and Handlar'n. The name is Swedish for home purchase.
