Lotterywest runs the state lottery in Western Australia. It was established in 1932 as the Lotteries Commission of Western Australia and is still referred to in legislation as the Lotteries Commission. It distributes its profits to community beneficiaries, both through government departments and directly to not for profit organisations. It is a major supporter of the Perth Festival, whose film programme is known as Lotterywest Films.
