About Silvan

Silvan is a Danish chain of do it yourself and hardware stores, established in 1874. It sells building materials, tools, paint and garden and home improvement goods, mainly to private customers but also to tradesmen. The chain has 42 stores near the larger Danish cities, averaging about 2,400 square metres of shop floor, plus a web shop with more than 22,000 items. Its name comes from silva, the Latin word for forest. Silvan is owned by the Aurelius Group and has its head office in Brabrand near Aarhus.
