Tokyo Verdy is a Japanese football club from Tokyo, founded on 1 October 1969 as Yomiuri FC. It plays at Ajinomoto Stadium, a ground of 49,970 places, and competes in the J1 League. The club won the first two J.League titles, in 1993 and 1994, and the Emperor's Cup five times, and it was the dominant Japanese side before the professional era. It plays in green. Kazuyoshi Miura and Hidetoshi Nakata both played for it.
