1. FC Union Berlin is a German football club from the Köpenick district of Berlin, founded in 1966 with roots going back to 1906. It plays at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, a ground of 22,012 places, and competes in the Bundesliga. The club reached the top flight for the first time in 2019 and qualified for the Champions League in 2023. It plays in red and white. Its supporters rebuilt the stand themselves in 2008, working more than a hundred thousand hours.
