VPS, in full Vaasan Palloseura, is a Finnish football club from Vaasa on the west coast, founded in 1924. It plays at the Hietalahti stadium, a ground of 6,009 places, and competes in the Veikkausliiga, the Finnish top division. The club won the Finnish championship in 1945 and 1948 and has otherwise moved between the top two tiers. It plays in blue and white. Vaasa is a bilingual city, and VPS is its Finnish-speaking club alongside the Swedish-language sides of the region.
