West Ham United FC is an English club from Stratford in east London, founded on 29 June 1895 as the works team of the Thames Ironworks. It plays at the London Stadium, built for the 2012 Olympics, and competes in the Premier League. The club won the FA Cup three times, the Cup Winners' Cup in 1965 and the Conference League in 2023. It plays in claret and blue and is nicknamed the Hammers. Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters all came through its academy.
