World Gym is an American chain of fitness centres, founded in 1976 by Joe Gold in Santa Monica, California, after he had sold the gym that carried his name. The chain became known in the bodybuilding world and now runs franchised clubs in more than a dozen countries, with a particularly strong presence in Taiwan, where its parent company has been based since 2024. Its gorilla logo is one of the better known marks in the sector.
