Make a group
Tap the plus button at the top of your wallet and choose New group, under the line. Give the group a name, tick the cards that belong in it and save. Leave the name empty and a group holding a single brand takes that brand's name. The row only appears once you have cards to put in a group.
How a group looks
A group sits among your cards as a folder the size of a card, with a small folder mark and the number of cards on its tab. When everything in it is one brand, the folder carries that logo and color. When it holds several brands, it shows small logos of what is inside, with a plus and a number when there are more than fit. A group takes its place in the order you sort by, and unlike a favorite it never floats to the top, so it stays where you put it.
Open a group
Tap the folder to see the cards inside, and open one to show it at the till. From there you can swipe straight on to the next card in the group, so a set of cards you use on one trip is a tap and a swipe apart. The three dots at the top of a group carry the same view options as your wallet: sort order, tiles or list, card size, and Reorder, which here arranges the cards inside that group.
Move cards in and out
Press and hold a card and choose Move to group to put it in a group you already have or in a new one, or Remove from group to send it back to your wallet. A card sits in one group at a time, and the checklist in the group editor shows which group each card is in now.
Search looks through your whole wallet, the cards inside a group included, so putting a card in a folder never hides it.
Take a group apart
Press and hold a group and choose Ungroup. Every card stays and goes back among your other cards; only the group itself goes. ShowCards asks first, because the folder cannot be brought back.
On iPhone your groups travel to your other Apple devices through iCloud, along with your cards. On Android, sync runs through Google Drive and carries your cards but not your folders, so a group stays on the phone you made it on. Either way, widgets, the watch apps, exports, backups and card transfers all work on the cards themselves, so a card travels without its folder.
