Send the card
Open the card and tap Share, or press and hold its tile on the home screen and choose Share. ShowCards creates a link and hands it to your normal share sheet, so you can send it by message, email or any app you like.
Each link carries one card. To share several, send a link for each.
Or show a QR code
Standing next to the person? Tap Share and choose Show QR code. ShowCards shows a scannable code; on their phone they open ShowCards, tap Add via QR code and point the camera at it, and the card lands in their wallet. It is the same encrypted card behind the code and nothing is stored on our servers, but they do need ShowCards installed to scan it.
What the other person sees
If they have ShowCards, the link opens a Shared card preview with an Add to ShowCards button, one tap and it is in their wallet. If the card is already there, it shows Already in ShowCards instead.
If they do not have the app, the link opens a web page that previews the same card and offers to get ShowCards, so nothing is lost.
Private by design
The whole card is end-to-end encrypted inside the link itself, and nothing is stored on our servers. Because the link contains the card, treat it like the card: anyone you forward it to can add it, so only send it to people you trust.
